The trade off with deeply discounted coupons

Most people love a deal.  I know I do.  And if someone told me that I could have my home cleaned for over 50% off, I’d be inclined to take the deal.

Such is the case with WONDERFUL companies such as Deals for Deeds, Groupon and Living Social (as well as many, many others).

They offer the most incredible deals at anywhere from 50% to 70% off.

I own a house cleaning company.  We have a “first time cleaning” minimum of $65 – $70 an hour with a 3 hour minimum.  That’s a minimum of $195 for an apartment and $240+ minimum first time for houses.

At the rates that I charged for my coupon, recipients are receiving a steal. Literally.

We offer an entire year to cash in on the coupons. Why?  Because we knew ahead of time that a deal like this would sell many.  I sold over 1,300 coupons.

Several individuals seem surprised to learn that our schedule is booking quickly.  Why are they surprised?  Why wouldn’t the schedule fill quickly with 1,300+ sold and everyone wanting the same deeply discounted rate?

In short, there IS a trade off with the coupons.  You gain a great deal at a discounted price and in turn, you generally will have a wait.  I cannot tell you how long that wait will be.  But I WILL tell you that your residence will be cleaned within the 12 months indicated on the coupon.

Thanks for your business and patience in getting booked.
