For at least 10 years straight, I have attended the Historic Hyattsville house tour and have never been disappointed. The charge has consistently been $10 and tickets can be purchased at Franklin’s Restaurant a week or 2 prior to the tour. Tickets are also available on the day of the tour but at $12.
Why do I attend every year? Well first of all, the homes are gorgeous, well maintained, and historic. We learn the history of each home and those who attend pick up some dynamite decorating ideas. My office is located in Hyattsville and I just love the quaint, established town (though I live in Cheverly). I have several clients in Hyattsville and feel a connection to the town and to the lovely community there.
