I love house tours. And it’s sad that they only occur [generally] in the spring and/or summer months.
For many years now, I have been attending the Hyattsville House and Garden Tour in Historic Hyattsville.
What do I enjoy about house tours? Many things:
- The beauty of the homes and/or gardens
- The excitement in the air as people (mostly women) prepare to go on the tour
- The unique and lovely way in which the home are decorated, showing forth the various personalities of the home owners
- The decorating ideas!
Over the years I’ve gotten ideas for paint colors, furniture arrangements, picture arrangements, etc. House tours are not for everyone. But if you enjoy them, below are some links to some tours that you can take advantage of in Montgomery County, Prince Georges County, and Washington, DC. ENJOY!
