Check out “A Christmas Carol” in Gaithersburg

Growing up,  A Christmas Carol, written by Charles Dickens, would scare the dickens out of me (pardon the pun).  It was those three spirits that would unnerve me every time.

But all who are familiar with the classic tale also are aware that it ended well.  If you are looking for a nice play to check out this holiday season, be certain to check out A Christmas Carol in play format.

Specific details below:

Celebrate the holidays with a classic performance of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol at the Arts Barn Theatre, December 2 through 18.  This engaging Montgomery Playhouse production will be performed on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m.  Admission is $15, $13 for City residents, and $9 for students through grade 12. This show is suitable for ages eight and older.  Parental guidance is suggested.

The tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, the heartless miser who discovers the true meaning of the holiday season after a Christmas Eve haunting, features all of Charles Dickens’ beloved characters:  Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit, and the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future.
